Caramelled pineapple
Try this delightful dessert recipe.
Ingredients:
-½ pineapple, cut into 4 wedges
-2 tbsp caster sugar
-2 tbsp honey
-2 oranges, juice only
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 220º C. Preheat an ovenproof griddle pan until hot. Chargrill the pineapple wedges with the sugar and honey in the pan for a few minutes until lightly coloured. Add the orange juice to the pan, and allow to reduce for a few minutes. Transfer the pineapple wedges to the oven and cook for 5-6 minutes, until softened. Serve on a plate, and pour the syrup mixture over.
